Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones involved in minor car accident, taken to hospital as precaution

Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones was involved in a minor car crash in Dallas on Wednesday night and was taken to a local hospital for precautionary measures, a source confirmed to ESPN.

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said in a text message to ESPN that his father had returned home and “everything is fine.”

The WFAA, citing a number of Dallas police sources, said Jones was in an accident shortly before 8:10 p.m. CT near Wolf and Harry Hines Boulevard. Ambulances were called to the scene and Jones reportedly suffered minor injuries.

It is unclear whether Jones, 79, was driving.

A Dallas police spokesman said the department did not give the names of those involved in the incidents unless there was a death.
