ROCHESTER, N.Y. – One person is dead after a serious crash on Brown Street in west Rochester Wednesday night.
Parts of that street near West Main Street were closed after the accident. Rochester police say they received a report of a hit-and-run pedestrian. Ambulance teams and firefighters tried to save the victim’s life on the spot. He died in the hospital.
Police said two cars hit the victim. Both drivers remained at the scene.
“The vehicle that was with the victim at the scene with us is assisting with the investigation. We do not suspect anything criminal in nature at this time,” RPD Capt. Adam Radens said.
The victim has not yet been identified.
